Next project

Michael was sorry to see me paint this one. He said he liked the look of  stained wood.
It was a nice piece, but the top was damaged, and if I have to putty/ patch it,  I can NOT stain the patch and have it not be visible.
Purchased for $50 (Doug worries when I put in more than a $35 initial investment)

  1. Very pretty, but I think the color may make it a little slower to sell- what room clor would you see it going in? I can't think what background color would make it pop the most.

  2. I think it might look very pretty with blue and white accents such as toile and blue willow dishes. I saw a similar piece (though the color was a bit less green); they had it against a natural woven wallpaper and it looked great. I also think a very formal room heavy on the white, venetian glass and silver (Not that I have any of that here).

  3. I saw on Facebook that Debbie says she wants it- does she have many blue and white accents for it, or Venetian glass?lol

  4. Haha- yes it is going home with Debbie Ackley.
She says she has a bedroom that has darker olive walls and a comforter that is cream with this shade olive and a stripe of the darker wall color. She says it is perfect - who am I to argue?
