dresser

  1. Wow! Very pretty, but a very busy pattern! I don't know how I feel about the dark hardware in the middle of it- I wonder if you could rub some green on them, like aging them, but to make them blend in a little more with the palette of the background- just a thought.

  2. Haha - that is funny because I said the EXACT same thing to Doug.
This dresser was my "exchange" dresser from Debbie, when she bought the rose one she no longer had room for this one.
Yes, originally I had wanted a much more "sparse" herb / botanical print, but this border was on sale for $4 a roll- so I decided to go with it. I asked EVERYONE if they would like it better if I painted the hardware -to make it go away but Genevieve, Debbie, and Doug all said "no" that they liked the hardware the way it was, and that painting the hardware would make it too "country".

  3. Just curious, do you think it would be better if I had painted the shell (outside) a very dusty moss or olive green? I am thinking that a very subdued color might make it read less busy.
