By all means, please DO NOT paint over all the charming personality of this piece! I just love it, and if I had not bought 6 large bookcases to take up every bit of my wall space, I would have made you an offer on this one myself for the bedroom (which is now wall to wall bookcases)- just be patient, someone will appreciate it!
