I don't know with your area, but I know here about 3:30 pm we started hearing heavy thunder with no rain and not even a noticeable cloud in the sky: than 45 minutes later the skies opened up and dropped about a half inch of rain in about 10 minutes- it was like standing under a waterfall, and then it quit completely by 4:30. So who knows.
