Wedding Projects
Hello! I hope this finds you feeling better (though I understand that there is often a protracted recovery time ).
Do you think you will continue with your consignment and thrift store rounds this week?
I ask because Alaina has a new project for you. (If you are willing.)
and a crate or drawer for the blank cards to choose from.
Do you think you will continue with your consignment and thrift store rounds this week?
I ask because Alaina has a new project for you. (If you are willing.)
Instead of a guest book, Alaina and Craig have decided that they would like to have vintage (BLANK) postcards that people would fill out with words of advice and well wishes and then place in a vintage suitcase.
There are several reasons for this, but one of the main ones is if they end up travelling to Korea this is very portable and light weight.
They were wondering if you ever see BLANK vintage postcards that are around 10 cents a piece?
Also looking for
a really cool (but pretty clean) vintage suitcase for the finished postcards ,and a crate or drawer for the blank cards to choose from.
I already created this sign with a old picture frame and blackboard paint.
I also made the white sign seen here - but Alaina said "it needs more red"
They are all about the red.
SO....
It still needs a post attached.
Debbie's birthday table. (Nothing to do with the wedding, but not uggh blue, so fair game. |

Project
My current project . You asked for it, so here it is, in all it's "before" glory.
The interior of one of the drawers- you can see the groove caused by the drawer stop.
The replaced hardware - previous owners choice.
VERY shiny brass-
My choice for the drawer pulls (I had 8 lying around from a previous project and the 3.5 " CC for the holes happened to be just right.) |
Wood on the top of the mirror- putty required. |
So I have no clue to the age- Amy might have a guess from looking at the nails. |
No drawer hardware worthy of selling, but the front left wheel was broken, so rather than trying to replace that one, I shall attempt to sell the other 3 on Ebay.
By the way Cruz took Kansas and Maine :-)

Still trying
Doug suggested I paint over the drawers, and just paint some birds on it instead.
Probably good advice, but
Not willing to completely admit defeat yet (Much like Marco Rubio ;P) . I added a cheeky little seagull.
I mean to say:
I do not admit defeat like Marco Rubio, I paint beach scenes like George W. Bush
and I treat the Rules like Cheney.
We shall see.
