And then this
Our sermon for today in church
Was all about- It's not about your
Agenda, but about what God
Has for you, and is trying to do
For you: and the scripture was
2 Kings 6:14-23
(Notice he fed and gave the enemy
Water and let them go, even though
He knew there was a risk they
Would return to fight against them again.)
So interesting
This was my devotion
For this morning,
Which made me say "Cool!"
And since your translation for
Luke 10 says a few things
Are needed and really only one,
I was thinking maybe the few things
Are "compassion, mercy,right action,
And humility (4th line commentary)
And the one only thing is God's mercy
Which saves us through "the miraculous
Work God is doing in the hearts of people
(6th line commentary)

Nobody undestands me...
Debbie said that she needed a desk.
If you had ever seen her house, you might better understand why I say that she needs everything she brings in to be bright, and lively, and happy.
She painted her dining room yellow- a true sunshine yellow (I even brought over paint chips)- and it just looked dull beige (I think Mom and Dad's bedroom has the same syndrome).
So I painted a cheap roll top desk as follows:
I asked Alaina , Michael , and Genevieve for feedback, and got the EXACT same answer;
It is VERY green.
Suggestions?

A question
I bought a bag with random little
Football helmets at a thrift store
A while back-
I didn't know what to do with them
Especially since not all 32 teams were there
(Eight are missing).
Anyway, Joseph was rummaging through the bag
The day before yesterday, to see what teams it had,
And I noticed that there were equal amounts of
NFC and AFC teams represented (12 a piece).
So I put on my thinking hat today, and took out
Our old checkers board, and was quite pleased
With how they look as checkers-NFC vs. AFC.
I know that you couldn't stack them for kings,
So I cut out little foam football shapes to place
In the grills to signify kings.
Now the question- would Doug and Mark play
Checkers with such a set?

Pictures from the other side....
Genevieve's sewing project that I was helping her with for her Secret Santa.
Jack Henry and Lucy came over to decorate chocolate houses (faux gingerbread houses)
You must put at least as many candies on the house as you eat (it is a rule)
Christmas punch ( soda and fruit punch with sherbet on top)
Reindeer cookies
Rice Krispie treats for Mark's class
The house for our next door neighbor--The Wades obviously
Dog made out of modeling chocolate and black icing- Doug said it looked like a turd.
Embarrassing family pictures
