Background:
10-year-old Ben Tennyson finds an alien device out in the woods, the Omnimatrix (Omnitrix for short), which allows him to turn into ten different alien species. Throughout his summer vacation, traveling the country in the "Rust Bucket" with his Grandpa Max and his cousin Gwen, Ben fights crime and evil aliens with his new powers, gaining the ability to turn into ten more aliens. We later find out that Grandpa Max is actually part of a super secret intergalactic policing organization that deals with any alien/ supernatural threats. (Think: Men in Black)

So sad the direction children's shows have gone- from fantasy to nightmarish. I was trying to remember if I actually saw a few of the episodes of the middle incarnation with Michael- if it is the one I am thinking of, by the end of the second season, it got too creepy, when it was revealed that Ben was actually an alien and this alien female/villainess wanted him to give up his humanity and become an alien energy being, or something- does any of this sound even vaguely right?
ReplyDeleteI asked around if any of that sounded vaguely familiar - they said that they remembered that "cousin" Gwen was actually an alien that had an energy form. But, yes,- the later series did NOT go over well here.
