I think I mentioned to you that while playing flag football, Will spends an AWFUL lot of the time on the ground. We are aware that he is trying to accomplish a very dramatic play where he snags the opponents flag with an amazing dive just as he runs past . And in Will's defense he usually DOES successfully execute one or two such plays per game. Unfortunately, the highlight reel ends up looking like this (rather frustrating for the photographer):
Please realize though, that he is NOT the only one who ends up on the ground.
Poor William! Even if it is not tackle football, meeting the ground that much must hurt after a while! And they all do look a little like soccer players, only when Joseph and I watch the professionals play soccer, we always laugh at the way they roll around holding various parts of their bodies to try to draw the foul- it's part sport, part dramatic presentation.
